SYNOPSIS

Two teenage girls, Marlanie and Nomi, have been close friends for as long as they can remember. But their bond is put to the test when external influences begin to pull them in different directions. One girl warily moves towards embracing her indigenous culture; the other instead shifts towards a more troublesome future. A quiet exploration of the uniqueness and delicateness of young female friendship, Rift is a realisation of the pressures that can create those first few cracks. How much can a relationship be challenged before it’s pushed too far apart?
